Your personal sphere of play:

The advertised position is located at the Department of Education at the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences. The main tasks of this department lie in teaching and research in the field of education science. Research is dedicated to the description, critical analysis, and scientific explanation of phenomena in education and upbringing. Its subject area includes both the educational processes in specifically created societal institutions, as well as the upbringing and socialization processes in non-educationally institutionalized fields of societal life (peer groups, milieus, media, etc.). The position is assigned to the working area of Inclusive Pedagogy and Disability Studies (interim management: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Helga Fasching). Duration of the position is 3 years. The working area deals with the theoretical and philosophical foundations as well as the empirical research of inclusive pedagogy and disability.

Your future tasks: Active participation in research, teaching, and administration, including:

• International publication and presentation activities
• Participation in research projects / scientific studies
• Project application and third-party fundraising
• Independent teaching activities within the scope of collective agreement provisions
• Student supervision
• Participation in evaluation measures and quality assurance
• Participation in research, teaching, and institute administration

This is part of your personality:

• Doctorate/PhD
• Professional competencies: Experience in research on inclusive pedagogy, especially in the extracurricular field
• Methodological competencies: Experience with qualitative research methods
• Experience in project work and third-party funding applications
• Didactic competencies: Experience in teaching
• High written and oral communication skills
• Very good English language skills in speech and writing
• IT user skills
• Teamwork

Also expected are:

• Teaching experience / experience in e-learning
• Experience in participating in research projects
• Publications in renowned, subject-relevant media (peer-reviewed, depending on professional standards)
• International presentation activities

Desirable are:

• Knowledge of university procedures and structures
• Experience abroad
• Experience in student supervision
